"To Double Your Income, Triple Your Learning" - Robin Sharma
I am a true believer that in order to improve in any area of life as well as to produce relevant art one must make a lasting commitment to continuous education and learning. I find it amazing how far we have come in terms of knowledge and education in just a few centuries, from those dark days in medieval times when knowledge used to be hidden and reserved for the few, to the current age of knowledge we are now experiencing, that allows great works by many artists to be accessed and seen through just a couple clicks on the computer, not to mention the vast number of high quality courses that can be found in renowned institutions from around the world at very low cost or even for free.
It's encouraging to look at the current educational offer both online and offline; its breadth and depth are effectively opening the world wide open for people to realize there's more to life than they originally thought so they can then follow their dreams and find something they really love doing. As Confucius said "choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life".
This section is intended to acknowledge some of the best learning and training materials I've seen out there (either in the form of books, workshops, videos, podcasts, scrolls, you-name-it), as well as to celebrate their creators who invest serious amounts of time and money developing valuable information so we can get a better understanding of photography so we can produce more interesting work.
I want this section to be ever-expanding, so you and me are going to have to work together on this one. I'll try to be as clear as possible in terms of why I think something is valuable so you can decide whether to try it or not. If you indeed decide to "give it a shot" please share a comment either in the author's web page, or on FAR Imaging's blog or on FAR Imaging's Facebook page, ok?
Cool, so grab a seat, take out your pen and paper and choose where you want to go next:
